Mission

As Catholics in the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago, in communion with the Universal Catholic Church and the Holy Father, and in union with the Major Archiepiscopal Church of Ernakulam - Angamaly and the major Archbishop, we are called by our Lord Jesus Christ to be His People, His Church, and his Mystical Body, He in us and we in Him witnessing and living His Gospel. With deep faith and trust in God, we commit to: profess, practice and share our faith, praise and worship the Lord, repent on our sins and seek forgiveness,be grateful to Him for the abundance of gifts, share those gifts with others, be kind and compassionate to the less fortunate, love and serve others, sanctify the world with active liturgy, teach the world the Good News, guide the world through "servant leadership", foster love and peace, harmony and unity, friendship and fraternity, be active and responsible participants of the community keeping our heritage, "Christian in faith, Oriental in worship, Indian in culture," guided by the Holy Spirit.
